Daily Yoga practice
In order for you to strengthen your practice as well as rewind during the retreat there will be a daily Rockey Yoga Class and a Workshop or Yin Class later in the day.
Rocket Ashtanga Vinyasa is a style developed in the 80's by Larry Schultz, a dedicated student of the founder of Ashtanga Yoga - Patthabi Jois. Rocket consists of a sequence of asanas based on a modification of the traditional Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga Primary and Intermediate series.
The Rocket series is considered an all-encompassing practice and makes the powerful sequences of Ashtanga yoga accessible to all body types and experience levels. Because of the sequence of asanas, strength and flexibility are also built quickly. This is also the reason for the name: It's called Rocket because it gets you there faster.
The Yin Yoga practice gives you the perfect balance to the powerful, dynamic Rocket classes. Yin aims more at stretching and moisturizing the deep connective tissues (fascia, joints, ligaments and bones). It is practiced mainly sitting or lying down on the floor, where you relax into few, but intense poses which are held for longer periods of time. Thus, Yin offers a lot of space for meditation and offers the chance to focus on the physical and mental sensations.

YOga Teacher >400 h RYT
Darvina’s journey into yoga began almost 20 years ago. She was introduced to the practice after venturing from her home in London to LA.
While in LA, she worked in the entertainment industry with the goal of being an artist. But the demanding industry depleted her energy. When she discovered yoga, the sense of peace she gained from a steady practice reignited her creative passions and led to immense healing. Yoga helped her refill her own cup, and find the space to share the abundance with others.
Darvina started her yoga teacher training with Erin Pritchard, earning her 200 Hour RYT. She continued her studies with an additional 300 Hour RYT with a strong emphasis on making yoga inclusive with Erin Pritchard, Stewart Gilchrist, Norman Blair, and Becky Farbstein.
Then, she was introduced to “the Rocket” and trained with David Kyle in Puerto Rico, where she delved into Ashtanga to learn the roots of the Rocket.
Now, Darvina teaches yoga in London, is an 1000 Hour Registered Yoga Teacher, and a Level 2 Rocket Mentor and Licensed teacher trainer with over 400 hours in Progressive Rocket Vinyasa Yoga.
